It's sad, but I fear it to be true as my affinity for bean and cheese burritos (no onions) has only increased with each passing day of this pregnancy. So why do I think the brilliant Taco Bell employees know me? They did not give me any napkins when I went through the drive-thru today. Who orders a bean and cheese burrito (no onions) to-go (obviously because of the drive-thru) with extra mild sauce and does not give napkins? Here's why: The brilliant Taco Bell employees know that I have been pilfering Taco Bell napkins away for a long time. It's not necessarily that I need them, but I don't like to waste them. So whether I am dining in or driving thru I keep all the extra unused napkins and put them in the glove box in the car. They come in handy for life's little spills and accidents. I know you are probably thinking, "Why does she take the napkins even when she dines in?" I don't like to waste if I don't have to. And every now and then I just happen *ahem* to get too many. I could leave them on the table when I leave but if anyone is like me...I don't use napkins that have been left lying on a table before me. Seriously, who knows what some person may have done to them. Dirty hands, sneezing, wiping crumbs from the table, etc. And throwing them away is wasteful. So I take them with me. Which leads me to conclude that somewhere behind the counter is a picture of me from the security cameras with a caption about being a serial napkin-taker-offender. As a result, no more napkins when I drive thru. I guess it's okay because I still had some in my glove box. They were from Chick-fil-a. lol!

DRUM ROLL PLEASE. . .

It's Thursday again!
And who knew it would come again so quick!
This past weekend Matt and I drove to Houston to visit Mariah, Troy, and Grayden. It was a great trip as it allowed us to unwind and relax. That is once we actually got there. Since my new car in unequipped with navigation we got “lost” a few times. Actually I wouldn’t say we got lost, but Matt does. We ended up on a road Matt wasn’t familiar with and he freaked out about it. I was fine but then again I wasn’t driving. The road led us exactly where we had to go so it wasn’t a big deal, but we did get turned around in Houston because the road we needed was not clearly marked. Seriously, I think most drivers in Houston are nuts. Just a personal opinion/observation. No offense to those partial to Houston...
Today's Thursday happening...
I spent the day shopping for maternity clothes with Romie. We had a lot of fun! I was surprised only because usually I get really exhausted and hungry, but I think the cold front helped (it is currently 58 outside). And we spent the entire time chatting away. We went to JC Penny's, Sams, Motherhood Maternity, and USA BABY. Roland joined Romie and I at USA BABY which was neat because I was showing them the crib that Matt and I really liked. I really appreciate their willingness to put forth their opinions because in the end we actually found a set that was of better quality and just as beautiful. Can't wait till we can order it because the sooner we order it the sooner we get it. And Baby stuff is quickly accumulating and I am so eager to get her room set up! One thing we did talk about at lunch was how lucky she (Baby) was going to be to have family close by. She is one lucky ducky! lol!

Wedding Photos!!!
Hooray! The much anticipated wedding photos are now online!
To check them out go to: www.weddingimagesonline.com
Under "Photo Search" type: Becki
The password is: 100507bm
There are over 700 photos and they are divided by the two photographers we had. You can look under Michael's photos or/and Maraya's photos. Maraya was with me for the most part and Michael was with Matt. So the photos are divided a little in the beginning when we are getting ready before the ceremony. I haven't spent a lot of time checking out the site but you can click on the pictures to preview them larger. You can also order any photos right off the website. Best hurry and check them out as they will only be available until 04/05/2008!
Enjoy!

It's Thursday!
Thursdays are always really cool. I don't know why. Usually it's pay day, Grey's Anatomy is on TV, and the next day is TGIF. Other than that I'm not sure why it's so exciting. We decided we are visiting Mariah, Troy, and their baby, Grayden, in Houston this weekend. We are really looking forward to that. Oh, and going to Dallas for Thanksgiving. Really excited about that too! Otherwise there aren't too many things going on. Matt got an 88 on his math exam and Roland got a 96! I only mention it as the class average was 75! Way to go guys!
Note: I got an email yesterday from the photographer saying wedding pictures would be online today. It is now 7:36pm and I have yet to receive the confirmation email. Frustrating? I think so! I am seriously getting annoyed as I have been trying to be patient and I can't wait to post some wedding pictures on the site! Stay tuned!

Wal-Mart Woes
Ever go to the grocery store with a list in hand thinking it would be a quick errand? You walk in with a determination to get only the designated items on your list and quickly escape the shopping madness. Only to discover that 37 minutes have already passed and you are wondering aimlessly up and down aisles with a vacant expression on your face. You find yourself pondering the validity of the "AS SEEN ON TV" items as you pass and discovering items that you never knew you needed but suddenly you do. I, myself, am a constant meander-er (is that a word?) of Wal-Mart despite my best efforts to control myself. More than once (or dozen or so times) I have found myself going down aisles I have never before even considered. I don't need car air fresheners that look like trees or cartoon characters nor do I need a sweater for the cat. But sometimes it can't be helped. I have prepared somewhat extensively to prevent the shopping phenomena I term the "shopping black hole." I take in a list, have a budget, and I do NOT get a cart. If I cannot carry it out, then I don't need it. But on occasion you will still see me. You will know me by the vacant, somewhat lost expression on my face. Sometimes I am barely struggling to hang on the the many, many items in my arms while reading the label on the back of a box or searching for a coupon (Yes, I am a faithful coupon clipper) in my pocket. I'm always stalled out at the dairy section for at least 10 minutes while I try to remember if we need milk or not. Occasionally, against my better judgement, I bring along an accomplice--or as he likes to think of it--a hostage. The husband valiantly tries to deter you from buying anything not on the list. Then one of three things happens:
1. He actually succeeds in his efforts, and you are in and out of the store in 20 minutes--10 if the list is split in two, add 5 minutes if he has to find you meandering around the store again.
2. He doesn't succeed and follows you around while making sure you know he's bored and annoyed by sighing every so often. He may eventually leave you to your own devices while he goes to find a chair or bench to sit in. You possibly might find him in the automotive section or magazine section.
3. He doesn't succeed but instead decides to join you. Now instead of two hands, you have four and the shopping time now more than doubles because he wants to "meander" up the automotive section or the magazine section.
I'm still trying out new methods to somehow avoid the "shopping black hole." And yes I have tried avoiding going to Wal-Mart altogether. Invariably it ends in disaster. I either have to go to two or three stores to find all that was on the list or I send Matt which means a dozen phone calls to make sure the right brand or flavor gets purchased or to add much needed but previously forgotten items. I know what you are thinking, but other stores are no better. Will keep trying and report back.

My First Entry
The wedding madness...
It has finally died down. We are just waiting for the photographers to post the wedding photos already. They said it would only be three weeks but as that was on Oct 5th and it is now Nov 6th, I think everyone can agree they need to be posted already!
The Baby...
As most everyone already knows, we are having a baby. According to the sonographer, Baby is a girl although I have some reservations only because I was supposed to be a boy and Matt was supposed to be a girl. Provided all goes well the estimated due date is in March. I'm not giving an exact date because the doctors and I do not really agree on how far along I am. We already have a name picked out but as we are still debating I will wait to post it until a later date. She's good and healthy and making sure I know that by kicking me throughout the day. She's not big enough that Matt has been able to share in the experience yet but hopefully soon.
The husband...
Matt is a very busy man. He's going to school at ACC and working at "the restaurant." Somehow he still has time to put up with his crazy pregnant wife's cravings for bean and cheese burritos and fruit and yogurt parfaits. He has been so great thru everything. I actually think he's more excited to buy baby stuff than I am. I found out I was pregnant on a Friday and that Sunday he was already dragging me to Babies R Us. lol! More updates to follow soon!
